Key Holder / Site Duty Assistant

Key Holder/Site Duty Assistant: Salary Scale C, Spine Point 8
Location: Alcester, Warwickshire
Hours: 12.5 hours / 52 weeks per year
Contract Term: Permanent

Alcester Academy is a mixed 11 to 16 secondary school of 500 students where we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a vibrant and stimulating learning environment that has the highest expectations for all. We pursue academic excellence alongside traditional values of courtesy, respect, empathy and tenacity to aspire to our school motto ‘to be the best that we can be’.

We require a conscientious, hardworking and trustworthy person to open/close the premises and respond to emergency calls outside of the school day within the specified call out response time (15 minutes).

The post includes general operational duties with aspects of school security, maintenance, daily site preparation of the school and janitorial duties. The post holder will also be required to manage and assist with all site maintenance contracts.

Site staff work a shift pattern designed to cover demands that arise early in the morning, during the day and also at evenings, weekends and school holidays, so flexibility is paramount. The post would suit someone who has practical skills and enjoys working as part of a team.

The post is subject to a probationary 6 month period and no formal qualifications are necessary, any training required on Health and Safety, school security and lone working will be provided.
